Software Quality Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Inova Labs is in need of an additional resource to support quality engineering particular in the area of software and electronic engineering.

Medical device development requires a great deal of documentation, and most of the current team do not have a background in Active Medical Devices with software - a large amount of documentation and in particular the form of the documentation is required by the FDA and IEC 62304 software process, which is often even more than is required by the FDA submission and or EU auditors.

Duties
* Responsibility for creation or review of the documentation required for design and development with input from other engineers on the team. (includes FDA software and hardware required information and format experience)
* Support and review the SW engineers during unit testing.
* Prepare software/hardware verification tests Plans, Protocol and reports
* Prepare software/System Validation test Plans, Protocol and reports
* Perform the verification and validation tests.
* The verification testing should start in parallel with the software development.
* Collect data to support Software Reliability growth during development as well as formal testing. Collect other metrics as available from the software process.
* Performed other engineering activities as directed (e.g., support other engineering test and documentation tasks, provide documentation and support for FDA submissions, respond to questions from Quality/Regulatory)
