Maintains information technology strategies by managing staff; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions and maintaining a secure network.
Job Duties:
Manage the IT Staffing recommendations, review, salaries, nurturing and training.
o Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and

o Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies
Translate business needs to technical solutions. Understand the business needs and the current solutions available to acquire or create the best solution and to document the systems and create practices and procedures.
o Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
o Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented
o Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures
o Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
o Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
o Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
o Manage the IT budget budgeting, forecasting, vendors
o Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action
Oversee the IT infrastructure Stability, accessibility, security, disaster recovery, systems fail-over, compliance. This requires an advanced understanding of systems hardware, software and network infrastructure.
o Manage Information Technology (IT) Security projects involving strategy, implementation, support, and software/hardware optimization related to security, privacy and business resilience
o Systems Design and Development design and document systems, practices and procedures
o Review and re-design security profiles to assess and improve how application security is being used as a part of the overall control environment. Must comply with both FINRA and Sox compliance
Additional Requirements
A minimum of 8+ years of related work experience in developing, implementing or architecting information security systems with a strong understanding of information security regulatory requirements and compliance issues
o Knowledge of general security concepts and methods such as vulnerability assessments, privacy assessments, intrusion detection, incident response, security policy creation, enterprise security strategies, architectures and governance
o Understanding of networking, operating system fundamentals (Windows, UNIX,), security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.) and application programming/scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell)
o Project management of information security projects including development of project charters and plans; management of project execution and successful implementation of the planned solution
o Experience in process definition, workflow design and process mapping
o Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an appropriate field
