Infrastructure Engineer III - Citrix Administrator (111462) - Full-time

Citrix Infrastructure Engineer III Job Summary:

Perform engineering and operational support activities for the TJX’s Citrix infrastructure. Primary responsibilities include analyzing the impact of changes to the Citrix environment, architecting and engineering enhancements or modifications to the Citrix infrastructure, and supporting minor and major Production implementations within the Citrix infrastructure. Collaborate with different domains in the TJX organization as a subject matter and technical expert, and contribute to project and business support activities involving the Citrix technology.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform medium to high complexity Citrix infrastructure design, engineering, planning, and implementation activities.
• Assess impact of potential changes and enhancements to Citrix infrastructure. Determine change effect on existing Production systems, infrastructure performance, and system design standards.
• Contribute to the Citrix infrastructure’s strategic evolution and operational improvements.
• Provide support for critical Production incidents on and off shift including root cause analysis and incident resolution.
• Scope and fulfill project assignments requiring Citrix expertise and deliverables. Provide status on assignments.
• Offer direction and guidance for lower level associates.
• Facilitate internally driven projects and initiatives.

Other Responsibilities:

• Support Citrix software and hardware upgrades in the Production environment.
• Create and review standard operating procedure documents and norms.
• Address incident and problem tickets on a direct or indirect basis.
• Participate in project planning and incident review meetings.
• Mitigate vulnerabilities identified within the Citrix Infrastructure.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and simulation exercises.
• Recommend process improvements to existing operational support models.
• Perform additional duties in support if TJX infrastructure as designated.

Skills/Knowledge:

• Advanced within common IT disciplines such Wintel/Desktops/Servers, Networking, Virtualization/VMware, Remote Desktop, Storage, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and SCCM.
• Image management for desktop and/or server machines.
• Remote systems management (RDP, VNC, etc.)
• Versed in incident management and enterprise change control principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of PowerShell or other Windows programming language a plus.
• Preferred to have in-depth knowledge of Citrix infrastructure layers: virtual, network, software, hardware, access.
• Preferred to have understanding of Citrix NetScaler appliance.

Experience:

• 3+ years in a senior level information technology or technical support position.
• Preferred 5+ years related experience installing, building, and supporting Citrix infrastructure operations including familiarity with latest Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop software (v7.x)

Education:

• Bachelor Degree in the Computer Science, Business Administration, Math, Information Systems, or related technical experience and/or certification.
• Citrix-oriented technical certification(s) a plus.
