Organizational Overview:
Bank of America Risk & Corporate Treasury Technology (RCTT) is responsible for end-to-end technology solutions and support for the Chief Risk Officer and Chief Financial Officer organizations such as corporate investments, secondary marketing, global principal investments, corporate treasury and enterprise capital management.
Role Overview:
The end-to-end risk architecture and common compute platform group is responsible for designing a consolidated technical architecture that delivers across various use cases, horizontally across the organization. A substantial program of work is underway to expand and improve disparate systems and functionality in support of specific key business and regulatory objectives. One of the main goals is to build a common calculation engine for any business functionality requiring exposure and derivative measures and resulting sensitivities to changes in inputs such as market data.
Support implementation / development focused on common RCTT Tech Stack allows to simplify the currently tech landscape on the non-Markets (GRA) organization. The common compute platform aims to drive efficient, proficient, and unified technology stack to support the varied needs of the risk function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead documentation, development and evangelizing common distributed practices across the RCTT development space – to drive long-term in-house subject matter expertise to drive cohesive integration across the stack and break away from often siloed / duplicative solutions in place today
- Expected to be hands-on and lead a relatively small but targeted team
Role Qualifications:
- Extremely strong Comp Sci/STEM background - including advanced data structures, algos, OS, and virtualization techniques (10 Yrs+)
- Strong grasp of elastic cloud compute, GRID computing & general distributed systems paradigms
- Experience in large scale enterprise application architecture and implementation
- Creative individual with a track record of working on and delivering innovative tech based solutions
