Marine Forklift Operator

Rhode River Marina is a full service marina located in Edgewater, MD. We are looking for a full or part time forklift driver for our boatel. This can be a full time 40 hour job plus overtime year round job. Call or email me for more information 

Job Description : Obviously, the core responsibility for this position is carefully and competently driving a marina forklift, but you'll also be required to help launch, retrieve, and fuel boats, maintain and clean the fork trucks, move boats for our Service Department, and other general yard duties. Keep in mind that "other general yard duties" may include exciting tasks like cleaning the bathrooms, picking up trash, scrubbing dock carts, pulling weeds, replacing dock boards, or practically anything that needs to be done. We all pitch in and do whatever it takes to make it happen. If you're familiar with driving a marina fork truck then you'll know that this job requires weekend and holiday work in outdoor conditions. Whoever gets this job must be able to multitask, work well with the public (and your teammates), and be a self-starter. Requirements : Here's the kicker -- you must have previous marina forklift experience . Driving a forklift in a warehouse doesn't count. This is not an "on the job training" position, so if you don't have previous marina forklift experience you will not be considered. Qualified applicants must also exhibit excellent customer service -- you should be known as someone who goes above and beyond. Must have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure. Must be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the property
