JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sales Manager is responsible for executing sales strategies in order to maximize hotel profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction. Oversees all operations of sales from operating budget to achieving sales goals. Responsible for attaining and maintaining corporate accounts and group sales. Handles marketing/advertising campaigns for hotel and answering requests for proposals. Ideal candidate would have two years in hotel sales and looking to move up. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieving or exceeding hotel revenue budget.
  • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to maximize revenue generation.
  • Prepare annual revenue budget, annual marketing plan and quarterly/monthly sales strategy reports.
  • Direct and participate in the sales efforts of the hotel.
  • Properly follow-up on leads and administer group and corporate contracts.
  • Ability to negotiate rates with a client creating a win-win situation for both client and hotel.
  • Communicate to other department any and all special request you may have for guests.
  • Attend trade shows, conventions and participate with local events and network at chamber events.
  • Cultivate and source leads through cold calls, telemarketing, direct sales and networking.
  • Maintain rapport with competitor hotels, lead sources, clients and the local community.
  • Submit weekly sales report to General Manager and Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
  • Work closely with General Manager and Front Desk on Revenue Management.
  • Develop and implement special promotions to increase business from specific market segments.
  • Possess and utilize excellent time management skills.
  • Assist in company wide sales blitz activities.
  • Using corporate Revenue Management resources to help make informed decisions and maximize revenue.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with peers, competitors and brand partners.
  • Adjusting strategy based on competitive market and market segment knowledge.
  • Ensure that the property is maximizing the use of all company, brand and local CVB programs.
  • Successfully complete Access Edge Certification as required by the brand within 8-months of hire.
