About this job


Stacks on the slitter when required.
Stacks on the taper/gluer when required.
Stacks on the RDC when required.
Checks the material being produced, making sure that it conforms to the factory master.
Moves the material, to be run, from stock area.
Feeds the sheeting through the machine. Verifies the dimensions of the cut-to-specifications.
Transfers handfuls of the sheets to the machine feed table.
Counts the sheets as they are fed into the machine so that the bundle count is correct.
Assists in moving the finished material from the machine to the designated area.
Reports all safety hazards and unsafe acts to the department supervisor.
Follows the end of shift clean-up procedures by the department supervisor.

Requirements

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use the hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with the hands and arms; talk and hear, is frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to or smell. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
