Reports to:                  Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Sous Chef and Cooks

 

Qualifications:   

  • High school diploma or equivalent in appropriate experience and/or certifications.  Three or more years experience in a similar postiion.
  • Ability to work holidays, week ends and evenings as needed
  • Ability and desire to withstand prolonged periods of standing
  • Need fine motor skills, both hands and good vision
  • Position requires bending, reaching, twisting and lifting (minimum weight of 30 lbs.)

 

Position Summary:     Assists the Garde Manger, Chef, and other cooks as needed. 

 

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Serves as a positive role model by:

  • Representing the Club in its relationships with members and vendors.

 

Job Duties:

  • Prepares all salad items before each shift (wash and cut lettuce, vegetables, fruits, meats, etc.) and maintains product levels during service hours.
  • Prepares salads and other cold items for special functions.
  • Makes sandwiches according to club recipes and standards
  • Cleans equipment and ensures that pantry area refrigerator and walk-in are clean and neat.
  • Set up, maintains and breaks down salad prep station
  • Identifies products needed and requisitions them.
  • Notifies Garde Manger or Sous Chef in advance of product shortages
  • Maintains Safety and security in work area
  • Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times
  • Adheres to state and local health and safety standards
  • Maintains the highest sanitary standards
  • Ensures that work station and equipment are clean and sanitary
  • Covers, dates and neatly stores re-usable leftover products
  • Ensures that food products are used before the spoil
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by the Garde Manger, Sous Chef or Executive Chef, and other cooks as needed.
  • Prepares and serves items in accordance with established portion and presentation standards
