ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Keep all work stations clean and organized
- Operate trash compactors to keep work area clean ad free of debris.
- When operating a forklift, perform battery change and charging procedures.
- Perform Pre-Trip inspection on all equipment used.
- Ensure that the correct pallet patterns are being used based on customers requirements
- Inspecting for damaged cases and overall appearance of product.
- Monitor the quality level of all finished goods entering the automatic palletizer
- Knowledge of control panel operations and procedures on all automatic palletizers.
- Trouble shoot and correct production jams on all automatic palletizers.
- Perform minor and preventative maintenance on all automatic palletizers.
- Perform changeovers on all automatic palletizers.
- Ensure that all materials are stocked during the production period of the automatic palletizer.
- Monitor the operation of the automatic palletizer during the production periods.
- Stack pallets holding raw materials.
- Supply operating lines with materials needed.
- Load all finished goods into trailers.Perform pre-shift inspection of palletizer wrapper to ensure correct operation.
- Must be punctual, professional, and follow safety policies and procedures on the job.Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year Forklift Driving experience
- Knowledge of Red Prairie is preferred
- Basic computer skills to enter data, create documents, spreadsheets, etc
- Must become certified within six (6) months of start date: Forklift, Operate Machine Wrapper.
- Valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time, shift is 12 hours.
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
- Must be able to climb on and around equipment, which includes bending, stooping, standing, walking, twisting, kneeling, and reaching.
- Must be able to see/hear to visually and audibly troubleshoot equipment, acknowledge alarms, and perform inspections.
- Must be able to sustain repetitive movement of the upper extremities to palletize product and maintain production which involves gripping, pushing, and pulling with varying degrees of force.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
