POSITION: QUALITY ENGINEER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CQE will receive and handle reports from customers that have issues. it is the CQE job to manage a cross functional team to solve the problem. Most of the day will be interacting with customers and internal employees handling problems using different problem solving techniques involving quality issues.
- Respond to customer complaints and guide customer quality audits;
- Coordinate of the process analyzing, preventing and improving customer product performance;
- Interface with Make sites for customer issues and quality improvement;
- Execute a customer quality improvement plans as required;
- Track global warranty trends and manage warranty analysis and reporting (internal and to customer)
- Coordinate 8D responsiveness and tracking actions items for 8D corrective action;
- Interface with customer as needed for supplier portal, PRRs, PRTS, 8Ds, PPAP tracking, APQP information customer-driven model;
- Manage global CSR and annual requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS Engineering degree; with Electronics knowledge preferred
- 3-5 years' experience dealing directly with Automotive customer quality issues (direct experience is an advantage);
- Excellent English language skills; basic Spanish would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills
- High level skills in data reporting systems and database management (Oracle, Excel)
- Goal-oriented, proactive and organized person with ability to handle multiple tasks;
Persuasive and influential both up and down the organization; - 3-5 years direct experience using customer quality tools including Six Sigma (certification preferred), Fishbone Analysis, PDCA and 5 Why analysis;
- Ability to travel on a flexible basis
