Production Artist - Packaging

Job Overview:

Oversee all aspects of packaging production and internal communications between Merchants, Creative and overseas teams

Essential Functions:

• Oversee all aspects of production for assigned family of business. This includes determining box construction, orientation, consistency in design and layout for various skus. Must determine proper specifications for printing, construction and sub straight choice.
• Owns the review process for digital and printed samples from overseas printers. Review and approve layout, font, photo position, and construction of each printed sample and prepare job for Quality Control department.
• Partners with Quality Control department to ensure that packaging withstands customer handling on selling floor
• Works with Product Integrity and Legal Department to ensure that all testing has been approved and all legal standards are met
• Meet and present problems and solutions with supervisor, Traffic Manager and Merchant teams to review status of all projects and update teams on any issues or concerns
• Lead weekly meetings with Merchant team, supervisor, and Traffic Manager to update team on status of all projects and inform team of any issues
• Attend all turn-in meetings to anticipate workflow and understand the business needs and concerns of that family of business
• Attends all production meetings. Participate with team in troubleshooting problems, process, and common concerns.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• 2-5 years packaging/production experience
• Understands the printing process

• Detail orientated
• Good sense of design and can follow design direction well
• Maintains an organized and clean work area
