Purpose: To assist in the manufacturing operation on a daily basis, producing the highest quality product in a safe environment at the lowest cost.

Mold Setter
Purpose: To assist in the manufacturing operation on a daily basis, producing the highest quality product in a safe environment at the lowest cost.
Job Duties:
- Perform Mold Set up as required by production scheduling from start to finish.
- Have all necessary tools to perform job.
- Complete all required paperwork.
- Operate overhead crane and able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Be able to operate a fork lift.
- Responsible for safely setting up and operating injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to mold plastic injection molded products.
- Tends to injection molding machines that process plastic resin to form plastic products
- Lifts and installs specified molds into molding machines. Bolts molds in position, adjusts mold height and sets ejector stroke.
- Verify that all mold bolts, clamps, water lines, knock-outs, air lines, and appropriate nozzles are applied and secure.
- Removes molds from molding machines when run is completed and moves to storage.
- Connects hoses and sets valves to regulate flow of water circulating through the mold to control temperature of molds. Inspects hoses for wear, replaces as needed.
- Sets up equipment, as necessary, for the performing of secondary operations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety of the work area.
- Assists in the transportation and installation and setup of molds in molding machines.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement with molds, presses, change over’s, etc.
- Prepare maintenance work orders and ensure compliance with Preventive Maintenance programs.
- Any and all other duties assigned by Management.
