Job Overview:

Are you ready for some fun? The NEWLY formed CenturyLink Federal Defense Industrial Group is building an FSI team of all-stars with a passion for innovation, results and customer experience. Our goal is to create and sustain a sales channel to sell and cultivate Digital solutions which are customized and built-on and, therefore, pull-through Platform CenturyLink extensive hybrid portfolio. As part of our dynamic team, you as the Senior Lead Federal Relationship Manager will be responsible for building a plan in your assigned market with current CenturyLink customers and new prospects that target Federal Government Partners and Systems Integrators. You will have the opportunity to pursue early stage opportunities through to mature large scale government programs with corporations and include domestic and international customers; prospects across the entire federal segment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive "sell-to" and "sell with" revenue with existing and new customer base, achieving monthly targets.
  • Establish and manage partnerships with targeted federal SI and OEMs ISP, to drive adoption of Platform CenturyLink and relevant technologies as their platform stack of choice. This will also include the integration of their complementary products into Platform CenturyLinks offerings,
  • Collaborate with cross functional virtual teams ensuring successful business cycle; including but not limited to lead generation, key business drivers, proposal development, scope of work to contract negotiations.
  • Work with post- sales support teams to resolve business issues on existing service or open orders.
  • Leverage industry specific and solution expertise in the sales process.
  • Leverage knowledge of market and competitors, identify and develop joint unique selling value and differentiators.
  • Leverage and establish C level relationship as Trusted Advisor in your market.
  • Renew expiring services.
  • Lead the recruitment of application partners into the CenturyLink Cloud Marketplace by evangelizing the adoption and integration of UCaas, IaaS and PaaS and other "As a Service" capabilities designed purpose-built for our growing FEDERAL ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong consultative or solutions selling training (Miller Heiman, Sandler, etc.)
  • Minimum of 15 years Federal direct and/or indirect sales, or channel management experience, preferably in both service provider and system integrator environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Hosting, Cloud, and/or IP network transport sales or related high tech industry.
  • Proven successful track record of lead generation, funnel management, and revenue growth, preferably in a B2G environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including story telling with PowerPoint, data crunching/analysis with Excel
  • Successful forecast and business management using Salesforce.com application. Preferred
  • Deep relationships with large Federal Systems Integrators, Harris, Lockheed, Northrop Grumman, SAIC, etc.
  • Previous military experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive C- level relationships with Large SI such as GDIT, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Leidos, etc.
