Utility Worker (Part-Time)

 

• We have an opening for a part-time Utility Worker position.
• Location: St. Francis Hospital - 5959 Park Ave., Memphis, TN 38119.  Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: P/T schedule; 7:00am - 3:00pm with rotating weekends.
• Requirement: Must have excellent customer service skills. No experience required - will train!

Summary: Maintains facility areas and keeps equipment clean and orderly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains and services cleaning equipment.
• Stocks cleaning carts with supplies.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization in storeroom and closets.
• Collects, transports, and disposes of trash, bio-hazardous materials following established safety protocols.
• Fixes and maintains cleaning equipment.
• Identifies potential safety hazards and acts accordingly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to push containers weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Mechanical abilities to fix and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Great communication skills.
