Blue Goose Cantina is hiring Wait/Server staff at their Plano location!

Server Position Summary:

Part time or Full time. As one of the most important members of our team, the server (also called waitstaff) helps to deliver an authentic experience to our guests through exceptional service of food and beverage. The server’s responsibilities include describing menu items, answering questions, taking orders, and serving high quality food and beverages to our guests.

Server Responsibilities:

• Our wait staff provide world-class, personalized service for every guest.
• Present the menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and beverage.
• Apply a positive suggestive sales approach to guide guests.
• Process guest checks and collect payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions and accounting policies and procedures.

Server Requirements:

• High school education or related experience.
• Alcohol awareness certification and familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.
• Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
• Ability to understand and comply with proper ordering and food handling techniques and state and local serving guidelines.
• Ability to timely compile facts/figures, identify and investigate issues and resolve basic matters.
• Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills.
• Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.
