MAINTENANCE MECHANICS
Starting pay: $30.24/hr.
Must be able and willing to work 12-hour night shift to include weekends and holidays and overtime.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Performs mechanical work required for installation and maintenance of equipment, systems, and facilities, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturers' specifications, and estimates jobs for material and labor
* Is proficient in troubleshooting electrical problems relating to drive systems, scanning systems.
* Performs planned maintenance on and repairs plant facilities and mechanical systems
* Reviews schedule with production and assists with equipment changeovers to new sizes and perform scheduled maintenance during downtime
* Stays abreast of changes in safety and code in the field through seminars and other educational means
* Inspects, maintains, and repairs mechanical systems throughout the plant.
* Capable of conducting root-cause analysis on breakdowns and stops on high speed equipment.
* Utilizes CMMS work order system to initiate mechanical work for unscheduled jobs and develop material lists for ordering by supervision
* Responds to emergency situations, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical problems. Carries a radio for rapid response.
* Assists electricians, HVAC, and other maintenance mechanics to troubleshoot equipment problems
* Set up, inspect, and troubleshoot all plant production and support equipment
* Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment. Perform other job-related duties as required.
* Be aware of your responsibility for the safety and health of yourself and others
* Participate in safety and health activities
* Comply with environmental/pollution prevention programs
* Maintain work area in a clean, safe and sanitary condition-complying with 6S requirements of WCM and participate in all scheduled WCM activities
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
* Two years hands-on production manufacturing experience as a manufacturing maintenance mechanic.
* Basic electrical abilities.
* Must be able to read and work from circuit diagrams, blueprints and schematic diagrams
* Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools
* Must be able and willing to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* Applicants must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to perform the duties of this position.
