About this job
Mathematica Policy Research, a nationally recognized social policy research company, is currently working with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on the Independent At Home (IAH) study. For this study, we are seeking Part-Time Field Locators to find hard-to-reach study sample members enrolled in the program in the Brooklyn, NY area. Once located, you will encourage the sample member to complete a survey over the phone. As a Part-Time Field Locator, you should live within a 50-mile radius of Brooklyn, NY. Training and project work will begin in mid-May 2017.
This study will examine the effects of self-selection bias as they apply to home-based primary care (HBPC). Additionally, it will examine if study participants receiving home-based primary care differ in attitudes and preferences that cannot be captured through administrative or claims data but can affect health care use and costs.
We offer to you:
- Flexible work schedule (an average of 15 hours of work every week for approximately 11 weeks (approximately May 22nd – July 31st, 2017). There may be some downtime during the project data collection period.
- Able to work some evenings and weekends required
- Pay rate dependent on experience and location
- Mileage reimbursement
- Paid telephone/web-based training on May 11th from 1 – 5 PM EDT and May 12th from 6 – 10 PM EDT

What We Need from You:
- Incentive, dependable, and possess excellent communication skills
- Work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to drive long distances (specifically in rural areas)
- Undergo a low-level security clearance
- Experience is preferred, but not necessary
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus!
