SUMMARY
Sets up and operates variety of machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to fabricate
or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may
be assigned as a normal practice.
Must be active in all safety programs offered by the company.
Must follow all company policies.
Must follow all GMP regulations.
Able to manufacture various shafts for repair or stock.
Manufacture various rollers for repair or stock.
Operate a lathe, milling machine and drill press.
Manufacture and install motor mounts or motor brackets for conveyors.
Manufacture small conveyors.
Cut steel using band and chop saws following proper safety procedures.
Able to read calibers and micrometers.
Use a bench and hand grinder.
Weld steel, aluminum and stainless steel via mig, tig, and stick.
Take measurements of materials such as shaft diameters, inner dimensions of rollers, bearings etc in order to inform the tool crib of the parts that are needed.
Detect bad components such as bad bearings and shafts on some of the equipment and repair or replace it.
