About this job

The electrical engineer will act as a customer service technical support specialist and will be responsible for troubleshooting issues with customers over the phone or email. They will be responsible for putting on WebEx's to instruct their customers on the features of their product and how to successfully use them. They will perform technical product presentations and training events at schools, seminars, and Customer sites. Also will be responsible for various technical writing tasks including operations manuals and new product specifications and performing on-site product installations and Customer product training. Candidates will need to be comfortable talking with and troubleshooting issues over the phone with customers which will require a lot of patience and brainstorming capabilities. They will not be required to do the repairs themselves but will need to understand the root cause of the problem and coordinate with their appropriate team member to get the issue resolved. Traveling to customer sites and educating them on the application of their product is a very important requirement of this job as well. On a typical day this person will answer around 15 phone calls in addition to emails with customer product questions.

MUST HAVE:

1. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering- EET, EE, ECET- need to have understanding of electrical theory and how energy is measured

2. Customer Service Exp- 1+ year- good communication skills

3. Computer skills- working with Powerpoint, excel, outlook, WebEx, ect

NICE TO HAVE:

1. Electric utility experience
