CMM Programmer

Our client is searching for a CMM Programmer to join their team. This individual will be working with both the Quality Manager and the Quality Engineer because neither of them are properly suited to work with CMMs.

This individual will be spending 50% of the time with CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machines) including programming them in PC-DMIS and will also be running the CMM Machines as well. Primarily they will be running the CMM operations, but also must be able to program from both a blueprint, as well as in CAD (Computer Aided Design).

The other 50% of the candidate's time will likely be spent doing Quality-oriented work. This will include doing heavy documentation (PPAP work- production part approval process), Gage work, and experience working with calipers.

Work Environment: The company is a Tier 1 & 2 part and component supplier located near Southeast Michigan. The company specializes in product design, engineering, development and manufacturing of metal bellows, tubular fabrication, exhaust manifolds, and integrated exhaust systems. This will be a standard 40 hour week from 7:00am-4:00pm. Minimal to no weekends are expected. Large production area as well as office space where candidate will spend time in. Qualifications: Must Haves:
- PC-DMIS CMM Programming Experience (Will be programming on a Brown & Sharpe XCEL 7.10.7 machine)
- Experience doing part layouts
- CMM Operating experience
- Working knowledge of working with PPAPs and similar documentation
- Gage tracking and calibration experience
- Quality experience is a must
