A successful Business Operations Analyst will have the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics, and 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years experience with SQL, Specific to Netezza, Teradata, SQL Server a plus.
  • 2+ years experience with SSIS, SSRS, experience with Tableau a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and work with Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP functions, and exposure to Macros.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with VBA for Office a plus
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common metrics used to measure and monitor operational performance
  • Ability to diagnose problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide clear and concise communication with a wide audience of internal and external stakeholders

The Senior Operations Analyst will be a part of a team dedicated to driving strategy and process improvement within Sling’s Billing & Payments and Fraud & Risk teams and across other Sling teams.  The analyst will be responsible for building reports and dashboards to be used by internal and external stakeholders to track Revenue Assurance and Fraud/Risk metrics that can help inform decisions within the team and across the business. This position will also be responsible for developing a data architecture to enable efficiencies in the design and development of reports and the preparation of in-depth analyses that will provide deep and actionable insights to senior management and other decision-makers.

 

 Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Develop tools and reports to measure business drivers and alert team members to adverse movements and general trends on a near real-time basis
  • Prepare, produce, and validate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for delivery to senior management
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and report automation using a variety of tools including, but not limited to SSIS, SSRS, Tableau, MS Access databases, Excel spreadsheets, external data sources and IT development; anticipate impact of process, system and other business changes and execute such changes with limited or no impact to the business
  • Analyze, identify, and implement process and system enhancements to create efficiencies and reduce resource allocation for routine tasks, procedures, and reports
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert with a full understanding of established processes and how they’re measured and reported on to help drive business objectives
  • Assist in the completion of team projects and develop new methods to meet established goals
  • Develop and deliver ad-hoc reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet defined requirements and provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders and senior management
