CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food- handling practices. Responsible for food safety, proper storage and handling.
Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking.
Season and cook food according to Del Taco’s recipes using personal judgment and experience in food preparation.
Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using standard cooking methods.
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to Del Taco recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or patrons.
Maintain acceptable Speed of Service in preparing food for customers.
Maintain a clean environment in the food preparation area.
Adhere to Del Taco and local, state and federal health department policies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High School Degree or GED preferred, one to two years of cooking experience within the food service industry. Cook required to have a Safe Serve certification.
Expected hours: Cooks are expected to work a full scheduled work week including availability on nights, weekends and holidays.
Work Attire: Cook is required to wear Del Taco's brand uniform.
