We are currently looking for a Journeyman Fitter in Louisville, KY. This is a great opportunity to join a thriving company with stability and growth potential.
Responsibilities:
This position requires preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical and controls systems in commercial/industrial facilities.
* Maintains positive customer relations by communicating well, maintaining a positive attitude, delivering to customer requirements, being timely, efficient, effective and continually looking for ways to improve quality
* Answers emergency service calls as directed
* Accomplishes authorized repairs or replacement of units as directed by supervisors
* Performs scheduled maintenance as assigned under contract agreements, inspecting, and cleaning mechanical components and otherwise checking-out equipment to ensure satisfactory working order
* Perform simple and complex repairs on commercial/industrial HVACR equipment/systems as directed by supervisors
* Schedule, and complete monthly pm work for assigned customers
* Complete electronic work orders and time entry on a daily basis
* Maintain, monitor, repair and conduct routine preventive maintenance for the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of HVACR equipment
* Conduct all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance including replacing mechanical seals, re-packing pumps and valves, replacing bearings and belts, checking for proper alignment, repairing fan coil units, brazing and soldering, calibrating controls, working on pressure vessels, replacing piping and fittings
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance and repairs
* Completes and submits service reports that include a statement of work accomplishments and includes the customers approved signature.
Basic Qualifications:
* High school diploma/GED
* Local Fitters Union Membership or willing to join
* Universal Refrigeration License
* 3 years of HVAC repair and installation experience
* Valid driver's license
