Tan Consultant/Bed Cleaner - Part-time

Tanning Consultants/Bed Cleaner

Part-time, fast paced, light cleaning position to ensure tanning beds and rooms are cleaned and sanitized.
 

Duties/ Responsibilities:

*Report to Store Manager

*Assess customer needs, making appointments, cleaning beds, promoting and selling various products, and offering protective eyewear and body lotions.

*Develop rapport with customers in a friendly environment to uncover and assess their specific needs and wants. *Educate customers on different services and products available to meet their desired results in efforts to sell memberships and merchandise for the salon.

*Administer tours of the salon to new customers demonstrating proper use of each piece of equipment.
*Greet customers and maintain a professional but fun manner at work.
Clean tanning rooms and beds after each use; sustain a "hospital-clean" environment.

*Greeted customers in a timely fashion while quickly determining their needs.
*Recommend merchandise to customers based on their needs and preferences.
*Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges and security practices.
*Respond to customer questions and requests in a prompt and efficient manner.
*Engage with customers in a sincere and friendly manner.
*Complete all cleaning, stocking and organizing tasks in assigned sales area.
*Provide EXCELLENT customer service.
*Sell memberships and retail products.
*Educate members of tanning procedures and other tanning related information.
*Update the computer database with sales, client, and inventory data.
*Answer phones and respond to member questions.
*Serve as cashier and complete cash and credit card transactions.

*Close out daily sales and clean salon at the end of the night.

*Ensure equipment is properly cleaned and well maintained.
*Participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
*Maintain broad knowledge of client products and services

*Pass on customer information to manager for customer contact.
*Use of sales skills.
*Maintain cleanliness of salon by completing daily opening and closing tasks; i.e., cleaning beds and floors in tanning rooms and maintaining front counter area.
*Direct customer service concerns or special requests to the manager as needed.
*Complete opening and closing cash handling procedures.
*Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
*Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
*Professional work attire at all times
Demonstrate ability to work independently
*Continuing education in the Indoor Tanning Industry
*Physical ability to clean tanning beds (as needed; depending on the season) (This position can be physically strenuous due to bending)

*Use light cleaning solutions (laundry soap/light sanitizing rinse)
*Wash and restock towels
*Assist the Front Desk Representative
