Certified Home Health Aide CHHA - evenings & weekends - Part-time

Home Instead Senior Care has immediate need for CHHAs to work with existing clients Monmouth County on evenings and weekends. Higher compensation is being offered for these shifts, with an additional $1-2 / hour bonus for irregular hours. Qualified candidates who are successful with the clients on evening and weekend coverage will be given priority for daytime / weekdays hours. Candidates MUST have a NJ CHHA license and transportation to cases in Monmouth County NJ.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Assistance with grooming and bathing
• Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
• Alzheimer’s Care

*Qualified candidates must have a HHA certification that is in good standing with the NJ Board of Nursing*

Requirements to be a Certified Home Health Aide:

• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
• Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance
• Must have a current physical (within the past calendar year)
• 1st and 2nd step PPD's OR 3 consecutive years of PPD's.  If you have had a positive PPD - we need a current chest xray from your doctor with the results and it must state that you had the chest xray done due to a positive PPD. The chest x-ray must be within the calendar year.
• MMR Vaccination OR Rubella and Rubeola titers.
