What You'll Do
In this role, you will provide support for calendaring, travel,expenses, along with management and oversight of special projects, as needed.To perform these tasks effectively, you will be expected to become familiarwith the products, people, and organizational dynamics within Cisco's ServicesOperations Enablement. You will be expected to understand how to handle, with agreat degree of independence, incoming asks for time, meetings, resources andother needs from the Senior Manager. You will be responsible for determining whento refer matters to others, and to whom they should be referred. You will beresponsible for following up to ensure proper disposition, and make surenothing falls through the cracks. You will become a core member of the SeniorManager's team, attending his monthly staff meetings and quarterly all teammeetings.
Calendar Management: Manages Senior Manager's calendar byprioritizing schedules and meetings. For example, may decide who gets onprincipal's calendar, which meetings are attended, and who can attend in hisplace.
Meeting Planning and Organizations: Assists Senior Manager inplanning and organizing meetings by taking responsibility for assembling theagenda, location, meeting technology (WebEx, TP) based upon participant needs,and all other meeting logistics. May further prepare meeting briefing documentsby taking and disseminating notes and formulating post meeting action itemlists.
Travel: Responsible for making travel arrangements for theprincipal. Carefully considers and decides the optimum travel arrangements anditinerary for calendared meetings while managing Cisco expenses.
Special Projects: Provides analytical support to assist the principalon special projects.Researches issues, analyzes problems, compiles data, and preparesreports.
In addition to the general administrative duties of anAdministrative Assistant, daily tasks are carried out at a higher level ofcomplexity. This includes researching issues, analyzing problems, determiningapproaches, compiling data and preparing reports. Due to the frequentengagement of the Senior Manager across Cisco as a whole, this individual willinterface with and coordinate activities with other EA's and executives inCisco. Work is generally of a critical and confidential nature.

The Services Operations Enablement team is a team within Cisco Operations. Our overall team charter is to create and deliver new capabilities that help our field sell, make it easier to do business with Cisco and connect Operations to stakeholders to anticipate future needs.
Who You Are
4 years' experience in an administrative environment.
Must be able to work in San Jose office.
* Great attention to detail and the maturity to handleconfidential information is a must.
Advanced knowledge of Mac/Windows desktop computerapplications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Past work experience in the high-tech industry is desired
Excellent verbal and written communication skills includingthe ability to communicate with all levels of Executive/Senior staff andclients.
Collaborative style, with excellent teamwork.

Advanced desktop calendar management program experience.
AA Degree desirable.
