In the role of DataScience Intern, you will be fully integrated into day-to-day operations ofa team focused delivering predictive models from industrial internet data Youwill be working assignments with real business impact, learning how to leveragecontemporary technologies to attain business results, gaining relevant workexperience, interacting with multiple stakeholders including leadership, andbuilding your knowledge of how to be successful in Honeywell's complex workenvironment. Additionally, you will join our community of diverse,early-career, data science professionals and former interns who will sharetheir experiences, offer guidance, and provide mentorship throughout thesummer.

Honeywell Data Science InternshipResponsibilities

* Meet with decision makers, system owners, and end-usersto define business requirements

* Conduct research on software products and solutions

* Participate in design sessions, prototypingsolutions on distributed platforms

* Review, understand, and analyze the effectivenessand efficiency of existing predictive modeling platforms and recommend new strategiesfor improving, or further leveraging, those systems in the future

* Contribute to planning, design, development, anddeployment of predictive model based applications

* Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, oralternatives that address or improve the existing and potential predictivemodeling process

* Coordinate and perform tests including end-userreviews

* Collaborate with fellow interns on challengingGroup Projects throughout summer

* Engage with the local community through variousoutreach and community service events

Basic Qualifications:

* Must be pursuing a degree in Engineering,Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, InformationTechnology or related discipline

* Must be able to participate in theinternship prior to completing your current degree program

* Must be a U.S. Citizen or PermanentResident due to export control restrictions

Additional Qualifications:

* Passion for using, developing,analyzing, and learning about new technologies related to predictive modeling,distributed computing and data engineering

* Foundational business acumen and desireto improve your business knowledge

* Prefer background in modelinglanguage(s) (R, Python) and distributed computing (Hadoop ecosystem)

* Students pursuing an advanced degreepreferred
