Stein Mart, Inc. is currently seeking an Associate Planner. This position interfaces with Buyers, Planners, Vendors and Allocation Analysts. The Associate Planner role is an exciting opportunity for decision making, leadership, and business growth.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and achieve sales, margin and inventory plans for assigned area, must partner with buyer on strategies to ensure all financial metrics are met in area of responsibility

* Responsible for updating and maintaining all financial plans in OTB and MFP

* Update weekly and monthly reporting to make strategic decisions to meet financial objectives

* Manage buy guidelines and inventory projections for assigned area

* Allocate fashion merchandise for assigned area

* Manage E3 replenishment product for assigned area

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, Business, or related field and/or minimum of 3-6 years applicable retail work experience

* Previous Allocation/Planning experience

* Strong leadership skills

* Demonstrated strong fashion sense

* Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy

* Excellent organizational and analytical skills

* Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing

* Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with multiple levels/departments within the organization and vendor community

* Proven computer skills with strong Excel preferred
