About this job

This position schedules maintenance activities for production line equipment including blending, fillers, cappers, labelers, tray packers, palletizers, stretch wrap machines, conveyors, and associated control systems. The position also performs all tasks in a safe manner to ensure achievement of quality, service, and cost objectives and ensures compliance with all standard operating procedures and requirements under TCCC quality system, and with all regulations both local and federal.
• Understands the concepts of planning and scheduling work.
• Coordinates outside service request, establishes purchase orders, ensures purchase orders are closed and manage expenses within budget requirements.
• Assists in preparing budgets for production and manage expenses within budget requirements.
• Prioritizes work to achieve highest efficiencies possible.
• Plans maintenance activities and develops training documents.
• Utilizes Visio to create process flow charts.
• Tracks metrics, performance, and efficiency of work scheduled using spreadsheets and graphs as well as document in report format, PowerPoint slides, and on bulletin boards.
• Monitors environmental requirements as they relate to scheduling and completing work.
• Responsible for predictive and preventive maintenance as it relates to production equipment.
• Manages predictive and preventive maintenance of production equipment and schedule required corrective actions.
• Identifies and assists in the implementation of safety or other projects as required.
• Ensures production areas are maintained to current GMP standards.
• Utilizes PMC to plan, schedule, print, document time, and manage WO's from inception through completion.
• Maintains accurate records as required to protect products, ingredients, processes, and information.
• Ensures all security measures are followed.
• Audits and monitors programs and processes as needed to maintain reliability.
• Responds in a timely manner to associate work requests including safety work orders.
• Assists storeroom and purchasing group to kit pre-planned work.
• Communicates effectively with management regarding PM requirements, completions, and challenges.
• Updates maintenance library with new equipment information.
• Back up purchaser for storeroom parts.
• Personal protective equipment including, but not limited to safety glasses, steel-toed shoes and hearing protection.

Requirements

Job Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* 1 year experience in planning and scheduling jobs and resources required.
* Use of computers and associated software programs such as Word and Excel to plan maintenance activities and PMC to schedule work orders required.
* Strong written and verbal communications skills required.
* Ability to work eight-hour shifts, 12 hour shifts or other work schedules as determined by business need, including overtime as required.
* Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, to work on elevated surfaces and work in extreme temperatures and noise levels required.
* Must be certified on the JPM within six months of start date.
* Experience reading and comprehending technical manuals, service manuals, diagrams, blueprints and schematics strongly desired.
* Understanding of operations, procedures, inventory parts, LOTO, improvements, breakdown analysis, PM's, 5S, etc within the production area required.
* Travel to other locations.
* Work is performed both in an office environment and in the manufacturing plant which will include exposure to temperature extremes, high noise levels, wetness, heights, dust, moving equipment, vibrations and vapors.
