Responsibilities:
Performs diagnostic, interventional and follow-up procedures for patients of the Catheterization Laboratory. Assist in the delivery of care to patients of Non-Invasive Cardiology Clinic.
Other information:
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Iowa or Compact State of residence. 2yrs Cath lab experience required. Must be able to perform circulator, scrub and monitor positions.
Minimum Education
Must have completed an accredited nursing program and possess a valid nursing license.
BSN is preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications
Graduate of accredited nursing program
Current Iowa RN License or current RN license in Compact State of Residence
BCLS
ACLS (within 90 days of hire)
BSN (within 5 years of hire)
Required Skills
Must be BCLS certified (or within 3 months of hire)
Must be able to complete computer programs
Must be able to meet the competency of unit assigned to and also be able to successfully complete orientation
Must be able to meet reliable attendance guidelines
Must legally perform the essential functions of the job
Able to demonstrate the necessary skills and competencies to include medication administration and nursing competencies
Must be able to perform the essentials functions of the job, including ability to communicate effectively
Able to distinguish colors
Able to read, write, comprehend and speak English
Essential Functions
