Work Schedule: 9:30am to 5:00pm CST Monday, Tuesday and either Thursday or Friday

GENERAL FUNCTION: Perform varied and moderately complex duties related to the processing of currency on the high-speed sorters and/or the preparation of outbound currency and coin orders for commercial customers and banking centers.Respondtocustomerinquiries related to deposits and orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

.Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities of the Vault Teller I position.

.Consistently meet or exceed production and quality standards as set by work type and process.

.Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all customer business confidential and securing all system related individual passwords.

.Comply with vault procedures and controls at all times.

.Ability to perform head teller responsibilities including balancing inventory through dual control, distributing currency and coin balances to tellers to complete daily orders, and assisting leadership with reporting and risk requirements.

.Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration competencies by supporting vault procedures through ability to train others and assisting management during opening and close procedures.

.High level attention to detail for 2nd level verification of currency and overriding out of balanced customer transactions within operating system.

.Exhibit responsibility and control when verifying errors, ensuring documentation is clear and providing authorization on adjustment tickets.

.Respond/resolve internal and external customer inquiries and research needs within the timeframe of the service level agreement and escalate issues to management as needed.

.Research and resolve all out of balance transactions via ACE, electronic or paper receipts, and Transaction Manager naming system for retrieving check items.

.Ability to work independently, solve problems with a customer centric focus and show ability to learn additional systems needed to support advanced vault services.

.Use Transaction Manager HGAA and IPCS to insert advice of corrections as needed.

.Print and report all advice notices that were created during balancing and coordinate advice distribution with Mail Operations.

.Inspect customer deposit batches for hardware (staples, paper clips) to ensure all work is in the

appropriate order. Inserts control documents as specified and deliver work to image capture.

.Maintains a working knowledge of all capture machines (NCR 7780s, Itrans, IBM 3890*s) in

order to perform image capture. Power encode functions as assigned. Performs hardware

maintenance as needed.

.Process, strap, brick and balance the currency received from the deposit processors on the high speed currency sorter and transfer/sell to main vault teller.

.Collaborate with leadership in positive, proactive manner to support operating functions such as purchase order requirements, create reporting and provide feedback regarding process improvements.

.Model the Fifth Third Core Values.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

.High School Diploma or equivalent required.

. One year of experience handling large amounts of currency and coin with the ability to perform balancing related duties with basic math functions and reconciling to expected totals preferred.

.Knowledge of vault operations procedures and processing duties preferred.

.Experience in a production environment preferred.

.Demonstrated data entry and PC skills.

.Ability to professionally communicate both in verbal and written form.

.Must be able to work in a team environment with the ability to interact well, and in a positive

manner, with co-workers and management.

.Must have ability to work in a fast paced environment without compromising quality.

.Flexibility in working varying schedules depending on business needs.

.Basic proficiency in PC software: Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

.Ability to adhere to strict procedures to maintain customer privacy.

.Ability to perform repetitive processes.

.Maintain orderly and clean work areas, including all machines, tables, cabinets and storage areas.

.Strong organizational and time management skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

.May be exposed to dusty conditions and loud noises.

.Frequently walks, lifts, squats, bends, and stands.

.Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to an entire shift.

.Lift and move objects daily and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
