About this job

• Track and monitor applications via computer software and attach appropriate forms for processing and maintain files according to application interest • Conduct and provide reference checks and verifications • Assist in tracking and monitoring of employee vital statistic data • Produce typed reports and memos, policies and procedures and other related typing as required • Produce and maintain forms related to the department • Ensure employee files are created for new hires and all required documentation is filed • Process final background, Drivers License, drug testing and Workers Comp screenings. • Maintain updated roster on Staff Verification System (specific DJJ system) • Ensure maintenance of record retention as per agency guidelines • Ensure benefit packets our sent out and returned in a timely manner. • Maintain approved driver’s list on a monthly basis and complete annual DMV checks. • Meet and greet internal and external contacts and inquiries in a professional manner in person, via email and telephone. • Provide professional and courteous customer service • Support the organization’s safety and security programs, including confidentiality of employee files • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

• Prefer possession of a BA in business or human resources. One year of Human Resource experience

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

• Must be at least 21 years of age. • Ability to type 60 WPM and knowledge of Microsoft Operating system. • Microsoft Office 2000 or higher software and HRIS. • Responsible for complying with time and attendance policies and all established Human Resource Policies. Must adhere to the Code of Conduct established by G4S. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
