JOB SUMMARY
Designs highly complex products and features that directly impact the consumer experience. Designs innovative and industry leading solutions by collaborating with all involved teams and support new and existing features across multiple applications.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Thought leader and SME of user-centered design (UCD) process methodology
Collaborates with Design Team executives to define cross-platform UX strategy
Provides UX leadership within digital applications from concept to launch
Evangelist for the customer experience within the organization
Creates information architecture and wireframes that both meet business goals and ensure a positive, best in class user experience
Works closely with the greater UX team to ensure cross-platform consistency, and support the growth of the usability testing program
Communicates customer experience strategy to executives and clients
Leads brainstorming sessions, and wireframe and design reviews to solve complex problems
Fully engaged and positive member of a collaborative team
Provides mentorship to the UX team
Manages multiple priorities and project timelines
Ensures the health of the product, feature, and relationships with clients
Assesses and assigns project workloads
Provides feedback and critique
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to demonstrate basic UI design skills via portfolio
Basic understanding of UX best practices
Ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience creating highly-detailed annotated wireframes, user flows, and process flows within consumer applications
Understanding of platform specific nomenclature
The ability to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stage UX work
Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-directed when needed
Strong client (presentation) communication skills and the ability to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
Experience with project estimation
Experience planning and facilitating user research and usability tests including A/B and multi-variant testing
Experience creating personas and customer journey maps
Experience leading complex UX projects
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables, and delegate to other designers
Experience providing UX mentorship and creative critique
Education
Bachelor's degree in Design / HCI / Related Field , or equivalent real world experience.
Related Work Experience Number of Years
UX design experience with at least 75% focus on UX 13+ yrs
Expertise with common Interface Tools (Axure, Omnigraffle, Balsamiq, Sketch)
