SUMMARY Assists the maintenance coordinator in keeping the office building or similar building, roadways and grounds in clean and orderly condition, by performing the following duties on a daily basis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Adherence to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity Ø Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums bathrooms, hallways, break rooms, entrances, office space and all work area's including Telephony & Server rooms. Ø Washes tables chairs, counters and vending machines in break rooms. Ø Dusts, washes tables, cleans white boards, washes walls and vacuums carpet in all training rooms. Ø Cleans and sanitizes all sinks and drinking fountains. Ø Dusts and washes down work stations in all four quadrants. Ø Empties trash, garbage containers and paper receptacles throughout facility. Ø Keeps glass doorways and windows clean throughout facility. Ø Cleans all mirrors and light fixtures, etc. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ø Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices. Ø Ability to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds Ø Must be able to work in teams Ø Strong attention to details Ø Excellent communication skills EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, corporate procedures/regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
