OptumInsight is looking for an experienced Project Manager with Business Intelligence experience.  The job involves travelling to multiple client locations and working closely with the State Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) teams.  A successful candidate will have a strong leadership, advanced problem solving, and communication skills.  The candidate must also be comfortable leading many medium-to-large size projects concurrently. 
 
Primary location for this role is  Albany, NY; secondary is Minnetonka, MN; other acceptable locations are Richmond, VA / Little Rock, Arkansas / Sacramento CA / Trenton NJ / Indianapolis, IN / Lansing MI / Boston, MA
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Manage teams of BI, reports, and analytics developers
Participate in business development efforts including proposal development and oral presentations to customers
Make sure that projects are delivered on-time and of high quality
Create schedules, resource plans, and implementation documentation for medium-to-large size projects
Ability to manage vendor relationships including those of software, hardware, and consulting service providers
Ability to create, manage, and track progress toward revenue and budgetary goals
Ability to work closely with clients at various levels within the organization
Must be willing to travel for work at client sites across the United States

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in a related field such as Health Care, Information Technology/Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Analytics, Business Technology
Proven 10+ years of Information Technology Experience
5+ years of health care experience, especially focused on claims, eligibility and quality of care analysis
5+ years of leading projects, ensuring deliverable quality, tracking progress, and reporting status
5+ years of hands-on overall experience with Data Warehouse technologies within the domain of ETL / data integration, Business Intelligence, relational and multi-dimensional database systems
Proven organization skills and ability to set priorities and schedule work deadlines
Proven business development ability skills including proposal development, orals presentation and technology demonstration development.
Good written skills and proven ability to produce project deliverables in a clear and concise fashion
Experience with application development including full life cycle activities
Experience as a mentor and lead to other staff that require training and guidance
Coordinate cross functional resources; experience managing both direct reports as well as indirect (matrix) personnel
Ability to travel up to 75%
Preferred Qualifications

Information Technology Architecture Analysis experience
Architecture experience with Teradata, Oracle and/or other RDBMS platforms
Experience with Tableau, Cognos, SAS, and/or other BI and analytic tools
Experience managing large data warehouse implementation projects
Experience leading requirements sessions with client teams
Expert-level grasp of Microsoft Project
Knowledge of health care grouping technologies such as CDPS, ETG, ERG, EBM, etc.
Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP)
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
