Summary / Objective:  Increase sales by leading and managing a sales team. Provides support, assists in troubleshooting and provides resolutions to the Catering Sales Team as they execute day-to-day routines.  Provides expert knowledge and guidance in support of Boston Market’s sales tools and processes and trains new sales people per Boston market training outline as needed.

Essential Functions: 
  • Leads a team of 1-2 Regional Catering Sales Managers and 3 - 7 Catering Sales Specialists as assigned by the VP of Operations

  • Responsible to achieve goals for 3rd party sales, large catering venues (Amazon, Airports) and pharma segment growth

  • Manage relationship with all 3rd party relationships, Growing, Maintain it

  • Creates and delivers all training curriculum as assigned pertaining to the sales team role. 

  • Acts as a resource, coach, and mentor to the Catering Sales Specialists.

  • Trains, supervises, and reviews performance of the Catering Sales Specialists.  

  • Writes and provides consistent constructive feedback and performance assessments for direct reports.

  • Assists in the interview and selection process for Catering Sales Specialists.

  • Fosters teamwork and creates a guest centric environment.

  • Fills in for Regional Catering Sales Managers as requested by VP of Operations.

  • Executes all Catering Sales Specialists duties, including direct selling when needed.

  • Provides support of sales team as requested with the day-to-day routines. Troubleshoots escalated issues regarding eMarket, CRM, and POS.

  • Participates on weekly Regional Catering Sales Manager calls.

  • Increases sales in all restaurants in assigned territory to meet budgeted sales plan.

  • Effectively executes catering business plans to reach desired results.

  • Forecasts future catering opportunities to reach business plan goals.

  • Partners with operations leadership to develop a sales strategy and sales targets for the region to achieve regional sales goals.

  • Conducts sales calls to key accounts as assigned by VP of Operations.

  • Makes necessary outbound calls to internal and external customers that support the business needs according to department guidelines.

  • Acts as main contact point for Corporate Accounts, Authorized Signers, POS VS. Booked Reports, Vendor Applications, Full Service Catering Events, and Aging Reports. Provide guidance and training to sales team as needed on same.

  • Effectively manages information in the CRM database.

  • Establishes and maintains long-term relationships with all Support Center and Field personnel.

  • Explores contract / rebate opportunities with customers.

  • Completes special projects as assigned. 

  • Works additional hours as necessary. 

  • Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and some overtime may be required.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 

  • 5 years of sales experience.

  • 3 years of experience supervising employees. 

  • 3 years of experience interpreting business goals and applying techniques and strategies to expedite the achievement of those goals.

  • 3 years of experience interacting and creating relationships with internal and external customers of all levels and skill sets.

  • 3 years of experience using a PC and MC Office Suite, including intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 3 years of experience supervising sales employees.

  • 3 years of experience with CRM software such as Oracle or Salesforce. 

  • 3 years of restaurant sales experience.
