Position Summary: Quality Improvement professional possesses a working knowledge of managed care business operations; responsible for providing operational support for reporting clinical outcomes including: ensuring data integrity, analyzing improvement opportunities, participating in oversight audits and working collaboratively with departmental team members to develop / implement programs to improve clinical quality. Maintains a current knowledge of all quality-related Quality Incentive Programs (QIP) as they relate to individual health plan and government incentive programs; solid understanding and ability to translate Quality Measurement Specifications; serves as a liaison for internal and external customers in matters affecting members, providers, plans and other customers related to the interpretation and implementation of PI programs, activities, goals and policies.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinates member education on evidence-based guidelines through educational mailings, community-based events and direct outreach calls
Coordinates physician education through in-service trainings and transparency of data
Coordinates meetings, prepares agendas, assembles presentation materials, and other supportive duties as assigned
Supports continuous quality improvement initiatives through research and testing of initiatives to assess success and scalability
Manages data entry into the quality reporting database, analyzes data integrity and works with provider offices to provide support / education on correct use of the application
Helps prepare and coordinate data validation audits
Attends conferences and meetings related to HEDIS/ Pay-for-Performance / CMS Stars/ ACO Quality Reporting as required

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
1 year of experience in healthcare setting
Experience with project coordination
Experience with reporting and analysis
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Proficient in MS Office: Word, Outlook, Excel
Ability to travel locally up to 25%
Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree
Experience in quality improvement
Bilingual Spanish / Vietnamese
