Composite Technician - 2nd/3rd Shift

Aerotek Scientific is currently recruiting for a Composites Laboratory Technician for our client located in Anaheim. The ideal candidate will train on the 2nd shift and after approximately 6 months, will transition over to the 3rd shift and work independently.

Composite Lab Technician - Technical Services

Industry: Aerospace/Chemical manufacturer

Location: Anaheim, CA

Shift: Training is on the 2nd Shift (2PM - 10:30PM) and will then move to the 3rd (graveyard) from 10PM - 6AM with potential for over-time as needed.

Pay: $17/hr. (with 10-20 hrs of OT if desired)

**Training will be about 6-7 months on the 2nd shift and thereafter transition to the 3rd.

Description: Technician with previous experience working with composites, resins, lay-ups, laminations or fabrications in any industry but aerospace experience is a definite plus. May be trained to assist in other depts. working with tools, using an autoclave and maintaining equipment, etc.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The position involves layup, bagging, autoclave operation needed to fabricate composite laminates and panels.
• Experience in metal preparation techniques (etching, PAA anodizing and spray priming), equipment and test fixtures, understanding blueprints and/or measurement systems is also preferred.
• Composite or adhesive experience is desired but not required.
• Coursework in chemistry or engineering is a definite plus but not required.
• Good verbal & written communication skills.
• Has the desire to learn, grow & influence others to excel. A successful team member who can make a contribution.
• Is safety-conscious and works in a safe manner.

• Knowledge of operating computers, testing or machining equipment.

• Must have good math skills.
