Director, NC Office

ROLE:

  • Generates timely estimates and/or bid packages per the guidance of customer-driven or internal company processes and procedures.
  • Defines project plans, objectives and milestones, and establishes performance requirements of project participants.
  • Provides effective management and utilization of labor, subcontractors, materials and equipment resources, controlling costs within budget guidelines and producing optimal margins.
  • Ensures project billings are generated accurately and in a timely fashion to maximize cash flow.
  • Demonstrates a team focus, providing leadership, support and adherence to sound business practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor bid opportunities from various customer systems (OSPInsightPET, PFST, etc.) and provide appropriate and timely responses.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and gather requirements as needed.
  • Review and understand customer engineered drawings, scopes of work and effectively identify project management tasks.
  • Proactively identify problematic design/construction elements and work with customers to formulate solutions.
  • Develop and promote estimating tools to enhance consistency and efficiency. Identify areas of risk and opportunity, ensuring projects meet or exceed budgeted financial objectives with focus on revenue, expense control and margin optimization.
  • Identify and develop relationships with subcontractors as needed. Ensure adherence to company quality and safety standards through active monitoring on site as required.
  • Maintain effective dialog with division field leadership regarding the planning and scheduling of resources for division efforts.
  • Ensure job documentation is complete and provided to field personnel in a timely manner.
  • Clearly communicate project information to stakeholders, manage conflict and provide senior level resolution to client issues.
  • Attend or participate in customer status meetings as required.
  • Comply with all EH&S guidelines while ensuring adherence to company quality standards, local/national codes and the customer's specifications.
  • Develops and/or gathers close out information for timely delivery to customers. Creates final documentation such as redlines, etc. Participate in QC activities to ensure project quality expectations are being met.
  • Provide expertise and education to internal teams and task forces.
  • Reinforce a team approach both on client projects and internal initiatives.
  • Support and solicit input from team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction and lasting client relationships.
  • Identify and develop strategic accounts as directed.
