Our Med/Surg Department has 66 beds spread out over three units.  We are most proud of our teamwork and supportive environment.  We also have active Unit Based Councils and Shared Governance and encourage innovative thinking of our staff.

Our Med/Surg Department Leadership team is comprised of a Director, three Clinical Managers, a Unit Based Educator, and a Clinical Nurse Specialist.  Combined, these leaders have over 50 years of nursing and leadership experience and they truly enjoy mentoring and developing staff members.

Job Summary\: 

     

This job is responsible for providing a wide variety of professional nursing services which focus on the provision of quality patient care consistent with CHI-Franciscan standards/values, applicable regulatory requirements and scope of practice for the nursing profession.  Work also includes developing, implementing and assessing the patient plan of care during time of stay in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and the patient/family. 

Qualification:

Job Requirements\:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred

• One year of related work experience is preferred

• Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required

• Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
