JOB SUMMARY

The Digital Project Specialist is a key contributor within the Digital Marketing team. In this role you would play a critical role in maximizing the growth of our eCommerce site charter.com by interfacing with the team and collaborating with various other internal business units at Charter.

You will support the planning and prioritizing of Charter eCommerce projects. This will include identification and documentation of project objectives and business requirements, as well as business case development and monitoring of overall project success.

Working directly with the Digital Marketing Strategy team you'll be the liaison between them and various project stakeholders. You will be required to understand specific needs from these business owners and be able to communicate the project details fully to the broader Digital Marketing team.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Gather, document and analyze business requirements for online projects.
  • Interface with key stakeholders representing business, operations, IT and technology to drive business requirements definition to the appropriate level of detail.
  • Accurately analyze critical details of business issues and opportunities to understand and define the key functional needs necessary for proposed projects.
  • Work closely with 3rd party eCommerce vendors to communicate business requirements and ensure alignment with their development plans and internal development teams.
  • Perform on-going website testing and customer focus groups to uncover customer pain points and opportunities for improvement.
  • Constantly analyze website trends, fallout reports, and various sales metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of detailed business cases for projects included the global digital strategic road map. Interface with various internal teams (e.g. Analytics, Creative, Development, Brand) to identify and document the full business value justification and timelines of projects.
  • Uphold the Charter brand in all online mediums including marketing tactics, company website pages, and external sales partner websites. Represent Charter core values and messaging.
  • Monitor project trending and be able to identify risks immediately as they arise.
  • Employ strong digital project management skills, demonstrating the ability to set and meet deadlines for multiple simultaneous project scope and deliverables.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability with gathering and analyzing Business and Data Requirements across multiple digital projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX and SEO
  • Proven experience in writing test cases, workflows, business processes, and requirements traceability.
  • Self-starter with a proven track record in analytical thinking, problem solving, organization, and clear communication.
  • Comfortable working in an extremely fast paced environment, meeting deadlines and prioritizing accordingly.
  • Exhibits a professional style that promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to manage to tight deadlines with a mindset for flexibility.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present in front of all management levels.
  • A pragmatic problem solver and an out-of-the box analytical thinker, capable of challenging the operating norm and making recommendations.
  • Ability to manage all phases of a large project from beginning to end with sufficient autonomy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work independently and make recommendations and decisions autonomously.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to make recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge in other desktop applications and web development platforms.
  • Knowledge of cable television, high speed Internet and phone products and services .
  • Agency or corporate digital marketing experience
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or related discipline and/or an equivalent experience required.

RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Digital Marketing experience in eCommerce, consumer technology or related industries 3+ years
  • Experience maintaining and optimizing an eCommerce website 3+ years
