Retail Garden Center Merchandiser

We are ICS, Independent Contractor Services, an independently owned and operated company dedicated to servicing live good products for a major home-improvement & garden center retailer in over one hundred and sixty stores from Maine to New York. 

We provide service for nurseries in a 'big box' retail garden center, working to maintain the products in the stores and make sure that the product is merchandised properly. This includes: 

• Setting all table layouts for initial orders 
• Verifying tags, labels, and signs
• Signing all products with store approved signs and sign kits
• Cleaning, culling and noting distressed material
• Initiating markdowns in compliance with store policies
• Consolidating and merchandising all product by variety, color, and size
• Creating focal points in the garden center

Servicing plants requires physical work, heavy lifting, good organizational and communication skills. You will be required to work with the store employees, nurseries, and other ICS employees. 

You will also be responsible for verifying the product is in great condition and priced correctly, which may include making signs, watering plants and keeping a clean working area. 

Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Must be 18 or older

Previous retail, merchandising, or garden center experience a plus!
