SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing the recruiting, assignment and appreciate of GNUSA volunteers at all levels including high school, young professionals, church groups and "medical ambassadors" (a new program). And as a part of the larger Development Task Group this position will initiate and implement plans for the marketing and branding of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

Volunteer Programs

  • Develop and manage volunteer programs for high school and college students
  • Liaison with field countries to coordinate volunteer groups schedules and logistics
  • Develop volunteer opportunities for "young professionals"
  • Expand the potential of churches and church members to volunteer with GNUSA
  • Work with the CEO to develop a "medical ambassadors" program
  • Lead a team effort in organizing the GN annual banquet
  • Set up donor contact events (in coordination with the Development Task Group)
  • Attend college "fairs" and various conferences

Marketing (& Development Support)

  • Develop, implement and execute a strategic marketing plan for the organization (work alongside of Fireworx Digital consulting group and potentially others)
  • Develop and implement a social media plan
  • Contribute to outbound or inbound marketing activities including optimization, promotion, increased brand awareness, etc.
  • Website management, oversee updates and direct design or content changes
  • Creates collateral marketing materials and participants in agency wide content development
  • Communicates the organizations mission, vision and programs to multiple audiences.
  • Analyze donor (social sector) trends and forecast solutions and promote continuous improvement
  • Coordinate the creation and production of the quarterly GNUSA newsletter
  • Track & analyze campaign performance

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities for (currently) 1-2 persons.

  • Administrative Skills- Has the necessary skills to function effectively in this job.
  • Technical Skills- Able to access and utilize all needed computer programs and web based applications to carry out the duties of this position.
  • Oral Communication- Speaks clearly and has the ability to communicate effectively. Able to speak in public comfortably.
  • Written Communication- Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
