Northstar is currently hiring a Full Time/Year Round Tm. Ld Office/ Field Supervisor.  This person will assist the Executive Housekeeper in directing operations of housekeeping staff. The Tm. Ld  Office/Field Supervisor is in charge of the department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Training and supervision of all housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure proper scheduling of all shifts for proper coverage according to occupancy.
  • Assists in interviewing all prospective employees, to ensure proper staffing levels are met.
  • Discipline, reward and develop employees as necessary.
  • Help ensure all company and department policies are followed by all staff.
  • Ensure proper supplies and maintain proper levels of supplies for staff use.
  • Maintain high morale, sense of professionalism in all staff.
  • Ensure proper motivation of all employees.
  • Daily inspection of rooms and common areas  to ensure proper cleanliness and maintenance of these areas to meet or exceed company brand standards.
  • Ensure all payroll corrections are complete in the Peoplesoft system.
  • Other duties assigned by Executive Housekeeper and General Manager.

 

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) - required
  • Payroll and Inventory experience - helpful
  • 3+ years Housekeeping or hotel operations experience - required
  • 3+ years supervisory or management experience - required
  • Bilingual (Spanish) - preferred
  • Prioritizing, assigning and coordinating housekeeping functions and requests for all shifts including monitoring radio calls and organizing staff in an efficient manner
  • Supervision, training/ coaching, brand standard implementation, handling guest challenges with care and concern, and ensuring guest requests are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Inspection according to standards as assigned by section, correcting deficiencies and notifying management on deficiencies
  • Replenishing linens, amenities and other supplies in guest rooms
  • Conduct pre-arrival and departure inspections in rental and homecare condos.  Communicate any maintenance needs to front desk.
  • Other projects and responsibilities as needed.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish. -preferre

Job Requirements:

  • Valid US driver's license required
