Oakland Stamping has exciting opportunities available for experienced Maintenance Machine Repair Technicians on our 2nd shift. We offer stable employment, competitive wages, and a great benefits package!
Experienced candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions
- Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas
- Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems
- Removes and replaces worn parts
- Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles and clutches
- Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe
- Starts machine and equipment to test operation following repair
- Repairs broken parts
- Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other personnel from other affected departments including production, maintenance, and tool room to diagnose malfunction
- Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices
- Assists Engineer to modify sketches or computer generated designs of machine components such as hydraulic system and drive mechanism
- Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to OSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.)
- Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors
- Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment
- Able and willing to work any shift assigned
- Participates in continuous improvement as directed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in stamping and welded assembly environment
- Valid Driver’s License
