Fuel Transport Drivers
Drive for Fastrac Transportation of New York LLC, a subsidiary of Fastrac Markets. Become part of a team of drivers to work either day or night shifts. Will load, haul, and deliver fuel products to Fastrac owned and operated Convenience stores as well as Fastrac fuel supplied customer locations. Will be based in either Syracuse, Utica, or Rochester.
Will drive newly purchased, Fastrac owned Kenworth tractors using Fastrac owned LBT and Heil fuel tanker trailers.
This is an hourly position. Full time positions and part time positions are available. Drivers are scheduled by shift. Two shifts available per day, per base of operations. Day shift starts at 5am. Night shift starts at 5pm. Each shift approximately 10 hours depending on required deliveries and may be more or less in duration. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule. May be called on from time to time to work overtime hours and additional shifts. Must be good with customers and have a good rapport with people.
* Minimum requirements are 5 years CDLA-A driving experience, current CDL-A with X endorsement and desire to learn the tanker delivery field.
* Must be able to pass a DOT certified physical examination maximum of every two years.
* EEO/Drug Testing required prior to hiring. Random ongoing drug testing required while employed.
*Must be able to use minimal math skills to calculate proper loading and delivery of products
*Responsible for accurately completing all required paperwork to complete loading and delivery of products
*Will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and properly maintained tractor and trailer.
*Will need to be able to communicate all service issues properly
*Will be responsible for maintaining an environmentally compliant work space
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information, and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
*Ability to effectively speak and/or respond to questions
*Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
*The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must regularly be able to stand for at least a 10 hour shift, while bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching.
