DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Oversee the proper and efficient preparation of food for the restaurant, caterings, and special events to ensure the quality and quantity standards are being met.
  • Work as a team with the management staff to implement and manage the routine and deep cleaning schedules. Monitoring the completion of daily and weekly checklist. Overseeing the operation of the front and the back of the house.
  • Ensure that all areas of the kitchen are kept clean and sanitary at all times, in accordance with local/state regulations, company, and industry standards.
  • Assume all the duties of the Executive Chef in his/her absence.
  • Maintain the safety of the guest and the security of the restaurant by immediately reporting all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions within and around the perimeter of the restaurant.
  • Practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Able to be detail oriented, organized, focused on guest service, safety minded, trustworthy, reliable, and efficient.
  • Able to move short distances throughout shift. Bending, stooping, reaching, and pushing may be required to perform routine tasks. Frequent use of stairs. Constantly required to handle and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. over moderate to long distances using hand trucks and carts. Must be able to work under pressure. Business volume requires a fast work pace. Kitchen is bi-level.
