Job Description - HR Assistant

PrideStaff Financial, a recruiting firm specializing in general accounting and financial positions, is seeking a dynamic and focused HR Assistant. The successful HR Assistant candidate will help maintain all aspects of the Human Resource department. Having experience in Accounts Payable is helpful but not required.

Job Responsibilities – HR Assistant

As the HR Assistant you are responsible for employee relations, employee benefits and retirement plans, and educating new staff on benefits offered along with processing payroll.

Additional responsibilities for the HR Assistant include:

  • Administer benefits plans to employees
  • Process all necessary paper work to enroll or cancel plans
  • New hire orientations on benefits plans. Answer questions about benefits
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment
  • Process monthly billing for insurance providers
  • Answer payroll/HR questions about benefits
  • Process weekly payroll
  • Process garnishments and deductions
  • Other tasks as assigned
Job Requirements – HR Assistant

As a HR Assistant, you must be a qualified professional who not only possesses the skills, knowledge, and experience required, but also possesses a positive attitude, confidence, and the ability to function well within a team environment.

Additional requirements of the HR Assistant include:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources focused in benefits and Payroll
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Solid understanding of HR duties
  • Very strong in problem solving, follow up, and working under pressure
Compensation for the HR Assistant position is based on experience and skillset in the range of $16-20/hr.
