Job Description

  • Our client is seeking qualified candidates for immediate hire in their South Florida office.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for growth and autonomy that comes with the pride and excitement of managing a wide variety of environmental/engineering projects and clients for the company's Hazardous Substance Practice.
  • This person will be responsible for managing the technical, administrative and financial aspects of various environmental and engineering-related projects, including Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments associated with due diligence real estate transactions.

Qualifications

  • Motivated, entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, independent worker. Must be a motivated person who wants to learn quickly and succeed professionally. This is not a 40 hour per week position. A
  • 4-year Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Biology or Engineering. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must.
  • 2-5 years of experience with management of environmental site assessments (Phase I & II ESAs) associated with due diligence real estate transactions is considered essential for consideration.
  • Demonstrated experience directing and managing projects, including client servicing skills and regulatory agency liaison skills, fiscal management of projects, scoping and budgeting proposals, will be considered a plus.
  • Prior experience performing field work, including soil and groundwater sampling, supervision of well installations and borings, oversight of source removal activities, and operation/maintenance of remediation systems, will be considered a plus.
  • Management of site assessments, source removals and remedial action plans involving soil and groundwater contamination (i.e., petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, heavy metals, PCBs, pesticides/herbicides, dioxins, etc.), will be considered a plus.
