A successful Tax Accountant - Sales Tax will have the following:
- Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university plus 1+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced office environment will be very helpful. Candidate should have experience working with large amounts of data and excellent organizational skills
- Position requires intermediate to advanced MS Excel and beginner MS Access skills
- Must be a self-starter with an upbeat and positive attitude with the ability to multi-task
- Critical thinking and a high degree of enthusiasm
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
- Preparing and filing all business license applications/renewals and payments for all DISH entities
- Processing monthly electronic filings for sales tax returns (EDI)
- Assist with copying/mailing monthly sales tax compliance and monthly property tax compliance
- Maintain files for department
- Process daily mail and other clerical duties as assigned
